OUR STORY

The Carry On Project began with one act of kindness and a bright pink duffle bag. Founder Kobi Skye Padgett was just a teenager when a girl her own age arrived at her home carrying everything she owned in three black trash bags. Moved by the girl’s story of loss, resilience, and the injustice of her circumstances, Kobi realized she could make a difference.

What started as a small gesture of offering new bags quickly grew into a community initiative. Partnering with foster care organizations in Tampa Bay, Florida, and the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma, The Carry On Project now delivers almost twenty bags a month to children in need, helping to transform their experiences during tumultuous times.
